Clay: For my clay mini project I made a baby deer painted in acrylic. By doing this mini project I learned the basics of adding onto or taking away clay to get the design I wanted, which helped with my final project. This tile also allowed me to experiment with different textured on clay. I think this piece was very successful in the fact the carving is very neat and clean,
and the paint as well adds contrast. If I were to do this again I might try to paint the deer in a glaze, so it stands out more.
Styrogami: I thought Styrogami was a fun mini project to do with the cups. Being our first day when we made them it really helped us learn the beginnings of any relief work at all. I believe my piece turn out a little like a elementary school project, but overall I like it. If I were to do it again I would get more detail in my carving and try to be neater.
Book Relief: For book relief my table made the word art. This book help me learn the basics of book carving, which I did not enjoy. This book I would say was a success for being our first time, and it allowed our table to work together. I would try to make the letters more uniform if we did it again.
